Italy Photo Tour Itinerary
Day 1 & 2 – Rome
On day one you’ll fly from your home city to Rome where we’ll celebrate the start of our trip together with a welcome dinner this evening. You’ll need to arrive to our hotel in Rome by 5 pm. After breakfast on the following day, we’ll begin our exploration of this incredible ancient city, including visits to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. Accommodations are based on double-occupancy with single occupancy available on a first-come, first-served basis (in most places) and subject to an supplemental fee.
Day 3 & 4 – Tuscany
On day three we’ll leave the cobble stone streets of the ancient metropolis behind and head for the country making stops along the way to explore little castle towns that look the same now as they did centuries before. We’ll spend the afternoon of day three and all of day four exploring the lush rolling hills and Italian cypress lined roads of the tuscan countryside. Here you’ll be treated to even more excellent food and several local regional wines.
Day 5 & 6 – Chianti, Wine Tastings and Florence
On day five we’ll depart tuscany and make our way towards Chianti treating you to a wine tasting experience in a castle as we make our way towards Florence. In the evening we’ll shoot around the city and enjoy an incredible “Fiorentina” meal. We’ll spend the next day exploring the quaint city of florence, getting to see the David, and soaking in the history and culture that only the birth place of the renaissance can offer.
Day 7 & 8 – Cinque Terre – “The Five Lands”
On day seven we’ll depart florence and make our way by train towards the enchanting and colorful seaside villages of the Cinque Terre. Making our home in Vernazza, we’ll spend the next one and a half days exploring and photographing this one-of-a-kind location. We’ll spend the last night feasting together on freshly caught seafood. The following morning we’ll have one final breakfast together in Cinque Terre before everyone departs. From here we can help you purchase train tickets to your flight departure location, back to Rome, to Pisa or Florence or onto another of Italy’s wonderful cities.
We are delighted to be partnering with our good friends at Walks of Italy on our history, food, and winery tours. Walks has over a decade of experience organizing day tours all over Italy to rave reviews and their local experts are fountains of knowledge about each region we will be visiting. If you’re looking to expand your Italy adventure to other regions of this spectacular country either before or after the photo tour, we will be happy to help you set up other day tours with Walks of Italy.
